• Payment Data: Transaction details for premium services (processed securely by payment gateway)

Some matrimonial details, such as religion, caste/community, marital status, income range, photographs, family details, health/disability information or legal-case disclosures, may be sensitive in nature. We collect these only because they are relevant to matrimonial matchmaking and profile transparency.

• Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device type, screen resolution
• Usage Data: Pages visited, profiles viewed, time spent, click patterns, search queries
• Location Data: IP-based approximate location (city/state level only)

• Matchmaking: To find and suggest compatible profiles based on your preferences and AI-based compatibility scoring
• Communication: To facilitate communication between matched users
• Profile Display: To show your profile to other registered users seeking a match
• Verification: To verify the authenticity of your profile and protect against fraud
• Notifications: To send match alerts, interest notifications, and important updates via email, SMS, or WhatsApp (with your consent)

We do not use your data for any purpose unrelated to matrimonial services unless required by law or with your additional consent.

• Your rejected/blocked profile data with the person you blocked

4. Data Storage & Security

• Encryption: All data transmitted using TLS/SSL encryption (HTTPS)
• Storage: Data stored on secure servers within India with industry-standard encryption at rest
• Access Control: Strict role-based access; only authorized personnel can access personal data
• Password Security: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt; we never store plain-text passwords
• Regular Audits: Security audits and vulnerability assessments conducted periodically
• Breach Protocol: In case of data breach, affected users will be notified within 72 hours as per DPDP Act

No internet platform can guarantee absolute security. Users should avoid sharing sensitive financial documents, passwords, OTPs, bank details or private family documents with other users.

8. Children's Privacy

Sapt Vachan is intended for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover an underage user, their account will be immediately terminated and all data deleted.

9. Consent & Withdrawal

• By registering, you consent to collection, storage, display and processing of your profile data for matrimonial matchmaking and related safety purposes.
• You may withdraw consent by deleting your account or emailing privacy@saptvachan.com. Withdrawal may limit or stop your ability to use matchmaking services.
• If a parent/family member creates a profile for you, they must have your explicit consent and must provide accurate information.
• We may retain limited records where required for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, compliance or legal obligations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
